1.1 Optical transparency
A transparent material gives a clear view of distant text or objects when viewed through it. . In this case, the material must be placed at a distance of at least a few millimeters from the object. Strict application of this definition makes it possible to distinguish between a transparent material and a translucent material, which gives a blurred image of a distant object (text, for example), as illustrated in figure
