3. Applications or implementation

Modifying the geometry of molecular structures is a simple way of modulating the properties of molecules. This approach becomes very interesting if we can synthesize, from a common intermediate (difluorenol, see figure 3 ) several molecules with different geometries (DSF-IF-derived regioisomers) and hence very different properties. This approach represents the main idea developed here.
