Overview
ABSTRACT
Choosing a paint application technique requires specifications and in particular information concerning the chemical nature of the metal used, surface treatment, and compliance with environmental regulations. This latter aspect can be a sensitive issue in the case of the application of anti-corrosive paint systems that may require solvent phases. This article presents concrete examples of the application of anticorrosion paints in the rail (TGV), automotive (car body), industry (processing of profiles), galvanized steel and merchant navy (vessel hull) domains.
