1. Formation of paint coatings on metals during drying

1.1 Main paint constituents

These paints are liquid or powder preparations obtained by dispersing various raw materials in a binder, the main ones of which are briefly described below ( , , ) :

  • binders and/or binder blends: macromolecules synthesized in solvent and/or aqueous media, which constitute the non-volatile part of the suspension medium. Insofar as the polymers are compatible with each other, the manufacturer can blend them to optimize the final properties of the paint system.
