4.1 Interfacial polycondensation
Interfacial polycondensation is a process which enables a polymer membrane to be prepared in situ on the surface of emulsion droplets, thanks to a chemical reaction between two well-chosen monomers, the reaction taking place at the interface between the dispersed phase and the dispersant phase. The method can be applied to both organic and aqueous solutions of active ingredients, or to liquid active ingredients.
