INTRODUCTION
Plant dyes, natural ingredients and alternatives to certain increasingly controversial synthetic dyes, are currently attracting growing interest. Couleurs de Plantes was set up in 2005 as a spin-off from a technical center seeking to enhance the value of plant-based colors. We report on this agro-industrial project and take stock of this young sector for the production and marketing of plant dyes and pigments. This article is taken from the magazine "Annales des falsifications, de l'expertise chimique et toxicologique" (n° 974) published by the SECF (Société des experts chimistes de France).
