1. Monitoring and formulation considerations
Formulation is complex, essential and subject to standards, not least in terms of the choice of ingredients and the degradation of formulated products. It can be defined as taking part in the creation of product mixtures, which includes the combination and shaping of ingredients, with the aim of obtaining a commercial product that fulfils the functions defined in a specification. We therefore need to distinguish between active ingredients to be processed via auxiliary materials, with physical processes involving dispersion, mixing, heating, etc. The economic aspects, in addition to those linked to the function of use, also relate to the cost of formulated products. Thus, the price of auxiliary products, the lifespan of the mixture obtained, the time required to produce it, health constraints, etc. are also parameters that need to be taken into account.
