INTRODUCTION
In this article, we give some examples of industrial defoaming practices. The use of antifoams or defoaming agents should only be considered as a last resort, when more practical solutions to operating conditions have been exhausted. Techniques for characterizing foam-forming conditions are presented, together with general recommendations to enable the industrialist to select the best foam control strategy.
For a more theoretical study of foam formation and destabilization, please refer to the previous article. by the same author.
