Mineralurgy: all techniques used to process raw mineral materials in order to obtain, by physical, chemical or thermal means, products that can be used directly by industry or transformed by metallurgists.
Ore: solid, natural mineral material composed of a certain number of useful (valuable) or non-valuable (gangue) minerals; in a restricted sense, mineral material that can be economically exploited.
