ABSTRACT

Among nanotechnologies, the sector of molecular machines is particularly active and researchers are developing ingenious systems reproducing the action of natural nano-machines. A team from Strasbourg has focused its activities on the creation of copper-based molecular machines, including a family of molecular shuttle. The chemical structure of these shuttles has been optimized over time in order to make them more efficient in terms of speed and distance covered.
