1. New security issues for the Web and mobiles
New security issues have arisen in the Web domain with the widespread use of what is known as "Web 2.0", an expression that became commonplace in 2007. In the same year, the launch of the iPhone confirmed the promotion of the cell phone to the rank of full-fledged computer, where telephony itself only came seventh in the ranking of uses.
The first browser, NCSA Mosaic, accessed a server (one at a time) which hosted pages of unmodifiable HTML text (one page at a time). Then came the possibility of triggering the execution of programs, either on the server side or on the browser side, which gave security managers cold sweats, because it meant the execution on the computers for which they were responsible of programs from outside, without any possible control.
