2. Conditions of use for mobile devices
The widespread use of mobile devices to access the Web poses a number of new problems for software authors and security managers, due to the specific conditions of use that we will list below, and come back to in more detail later.
2.1 Intermittent network connection
The device's connection to the network is intermittent, and is established at variable locations, resulting in variable network addresses and communication paths. This results in :
loss of communication traceability ;
the loss of the ability to identify a device (or at least its position) by its network address.
