INTRODUCTION
Agility, and more specifically the beginnings of the SCRUM method, emerged in the 1990s; however, its operational use in the IT field only became widespread in the early 2000s, and began to be used routinely, in the early 2010s. Note that Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber describe the principles of the method in the "SCRUM Guide" in 2011, and again in 2016.
This article begins by outlining the evolution of SCRUM since 2010, followed by a description, illustrated by example, of the essential and sufficient techniques of the SCRUM method. Finally, it shows when and how to use it to get the best results, while highlighting the conditions necessary for its successful application on a project.
