10. EAI, BPM and workflow
Business Process Management (BPM) has come to the fore because this technology makes organizations more flexible and delivers productivity gains. It consists in modeling company operations using flow diagrams, identifying the participants (human or application) involved in a process, and then monitoring and triggering the execution of these processes using an appropriate engine, adapted to the company's reality. Monitoring indicators and dashboards enable performance to be fine-tuned and improved. Each action, decision criterion and document is listed in a repository (a database).
