9.1 CARROUSO project

The CARROUSO project (Creating, Assessing and Rendering in Real Time of High Quality Audio-Visual Environments in MPEG-4 Context) is based on Wave Field Synthesis (WFS). This system makes it possible to go beyond the "sweet spot", with a much wider listening area. Loudspeakers are placed every 17 cm. Virtual sources are fixed even when listeners are on the move.
