1.1 Power amplifiers
Amplifier chains use a single type of 250 W (RMS) broadband amplifier to cover the entire UHF band (470 to 900 MHz).
This high-gain amplifier (figure 1 ) uses two final stages of highly reliable LDMOS RF transistors, biased in class AB. The intrinsic linearity of these transistors and the quality of the associated digital linearity corrector ensure excellent overall linearity.
Each amplifier is equipped with SWR, overtemperature and overcurrent protection.
Transistor currents and output levels for each amplifier can be viewed from the control panel's touchscreen.
