4. Distributed functional plan
Whereas the global functional plan deals with the "what" or, more precisely, which SIBs make up the service, the distributed functional plan deals with the "how", in other words, how the SIBs or service functions are realized. In the distributed functional plane, the intelligent network is seen as a set of distributed objects called functional entities (FEs), which interact through message exchanges called information flows (IFs), via abstract communication media called relationships. This plan is introduced in recommendation Q1214 for IR capability set 1
