The segmentations and reassemblies performed by the various layers are summarized in figure 25 . We assume that a user is downloading a file (e.g. a web page), is receiving a VoIP communication and whose terminal receives an RRC message. The download takes place over a medium that guarantees low packet loss (bearer 1) and uses RLC in acknowledged mode. The RRC protocol does the same.
