Numerical simulation is increasingly used in many areas of physics.
In mechanical engineering, it has proven its effectiveness in the prediction and optimization phase, right from the design stage before any prototype has been produced;
In the field of electromagnetics, which concerns us here, it is used to validate concepts to guide choices in the design phase, or to verify theoretical or experimental results on a given structure.
