9. Technical characteristics of a new-generation radio transmitter
9.1 RF performance
-
Carrier power
From 250 kW to 2,000 kW depending on version.
The power level is adjustable in 1% steps.
Two preset levels, full and half power, are directly accessible.
-
RF output
Output impedance from 120 to 50 Ω unbalanced.
Standing wave rate of 1.2 permissible without power reduction. For standing wave rates between 1.2 and 1.5, automatic progressive reduction of output power. Above 1.5, the transmitter is blocked.
Lightning protection by spark gaps distributed over the output circuits.
