2. Converter architecture and control modes
We'll explain the architecture of the various converters and give a few pointers on how to control them.
The basic function of all inverter systems is to synthesize AC voltage from a DC voltage source, which is the storage battery or the rectified mains.
2.1 Input converter
On the input side, the converters, rectifier and charger, do not need to be reversible in power. These converters always operate as energy receivers, but the instantaneous power can be variable, leading to non-linear i currents.
