1. Organization of distribution network development
In France (where MV and LV networks are under concession) and in other countries around the world (where networks may also be privately owned or leased), the development of distribution networks is part of the distributor's core business. In other countries, this notion is much vaguer, as network development studies are carried out by engineering firms (private or public) external to the distribution company. As a result, in this particular case, the distributor's technical function is mainly focused on the operation of distribution facilities.
