1. General presentation

A metering system is the collection of devices or functional sub-assemblies required to perform all electricity metering functions for a given customer, according to a tariff defined by the electricity distributor.

1.1 Metering adapted to the consumer

Metering requirements, leading to the creation of the corresponding metering assembly, are the result of the pricing system applying to the customer in question, as well as specific needs, for example concerning information and communications devices, defined by the electricity distributor.
