3. Crosstalk phenomena in coupled lines

The term "crosstalk" has its origins in the analog transmission of telephone signals, where certain imperfections were manifested by the mixing of conversations carried on contiguous channels . Although analog transmission is now virtually a thing of the past, crosstalk coupling is still a formidable problem for digital signals. The crosstalk discussed briefly in paragraph 2.3.1
