1.1 The power consumed must be supplied

The study of [D 1 163] leads to the following considerations: if it is not possible to store energy, the power consumed at each moment and that lost in transmission must necessarily be supplied by all generators. This fundamental law of equilibrium is essential, especially in AC. However, if temporary energy storage facilities are available, it is possible to draw on reserves. This is particularly true for the DC network.
