9. Planning and scheduling
The schedule is a document that concerns everyone, from the prime contractor to the customer.
Everyone needs to know exactly what's going to happen on the site in advance. This process entails financial responsibilities.
The owner will release funds from his bank, so the planning will affect his interest payments.
Thanks to this "score", the project manager can organize the work of each company, as well as any delays that may result in compensation. This will also make it possible to plan training sessions at the companies (with the companies) if need be.
The contractor will use the schedule first and foremost to calculate site costs, enabling him to present a coherent bid. It will also enable him to define the number of hours required for execution, the composition of teams and their dates...
