lifting accessories

Equipment or components not connected to the machine, but placed between the machine and the load (or on the load) to grip the latter. Slings and removable load-holding equipment (lifting rings, clamps, shackles, etc.) are lifting accessories.

slinging accessories

Lifting accessory components used to make or use a sling, such as eye hooks.

sling angle (A )

Corresponds to the angle formed by one strand of the sling in relation to the vertical (figure 37 ).
