5. Types of relationships between partners

Due to the global nature of the partnership contract, which calls on a wide range of skills in a variety of fields, candidates are often required to bid as part of a consortium. Indeed, the execution of the works and the operation/maintenance of the facility generally involve, at the very least, a builder in association with a company usually in charge of operations.

It is also perfectly possible for a single company to bid on a partnership contract: this will generally be a company dedicated to carrying out the project (art. L. 2213-6 of the CCP), formed by several companies and dedicated exclusively to the execution of the partnership contract. In practice, however, the project company is usually set up by the members of the winning consortium once the successful bidder has been selected.
