Legal and regulatory requirements for technical inspections
The profession of technical inspector is regulated by law: the technical inspector's mission is to "prevent the various technical hazards likely to be encountered in the construction of works" (CCH, art. L. 125-1).
While it is true that his role does not include checking work already completed
, (§ 2.2.2.2), the fact remains that "during the construction period, he ensures in particular that the technical checks incumbent on each builder (...) are carried out satisfactorily"...[C 74]
