FrançaisABSTRACT
The tramway, be it for urban, tourism or goods transportation, almost disappeared from the urban landscape of certain countries such as France and Spain. This article focuses on the various fields of use of the tramway as well as on its advantages and drawbacks. It also describes the constraints linked to the infrastructures and the operating mode of this means of transportation such as its integration into the urban fabric, security rules, driving mode, signaling, repairing breakdowns, etc.
