2.1 Overview of geosynthetics
Geosynthetics include geomembranes and a variety of products, the main ones of which are described below (§ 2.2 ). Geosynthetics are generally delivered to the field in rolls. The strips ("lés") obtained by unrolling these rolls are generally in the order of 1.5 to 10 m wide and from a few dozen meters to over 100 m long.
