ADHERA
Device that measures a coefficient of longitudinal friction (CFL) using a locked wheel (100% slip rate) fitted with a smooth test tire.
Adhérence ; Skid resistance
The ability of a road surface to mobilize frictional forces between the object (tire, tread, etc.) and the ground (pavement, road markings, sidewalk, etc.) under the effect of stresses generated by its movement. The evaluation of macrotexture and microtexture enables us to characterize the skid resistance of a surface.
Coefficient de Frottement Longitudinal (CFL); Longitudinal friction coefficient (LFC)
Ratio between the longitudinal force (F) and the reaction (R) normal to the ground due to the load on the wheel.
