3. Concrete slabs and tiles
Concrete slabs and tiles can be manufactured using a wide variety of techniques and machines, depending in particular on product type, production capacity and desired appearance. The process can be either deferred or immediate demolding.
For the production of decorative slabs, particularly those with a relief appearance such as reconstituted stone, wet-cast production lines are used (figure 14 ). These production lines are equipped with a large number of inter-loadable supports and molds (generally in thermoformed plastic or molded polyurethane) to reproduce reliefs. As the tiles are cured in the molds for around 18 to 24 hours, production output corresponds to the number of molds available (600 to 3,000 for a given model).
