2. Kerbs and pavers

Roadway products such as kerbstones and pavers are generally manufactured using processes (immediate demolding and curing on boards) and machines of the vibratory press type, very similar to those used for concrete blocks.
However, in order to meet the specific requirements of road products in terms of appearance, mechanical resistance and durability, production conditions present certain particularities:
The concretes used have a higher cement content (14 to 18% on average) and are more plastic (water content of fresh concrete 6 to 7%). Compaction is more thorough (low porosity) thanks to the use of more powerful and longer vibrations (4 to 8 s instead of 1 to 3 s for blocks);
