1. Presentation of regulations and standards

1.1 General

Window closures must comply with various types of documentation, in particular standards and two European directives. Standards are voluntary if they are not specified in specifications. They are, however, reference documents. The essential requirements of applicable European directives must be complied with, and this can be done with reference to standard NF EN 13659 1.2 .
