1.1.1 Mechanical chiller

This is the standard solution on the road-vehicle refrigerated transport market, based on the principle of a closed compression-expansion cycle using a refrigerant. Units are available for all sizes of industrial vehicle, from light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to semi-trailers (SRs).
