2. Intensification of single-phase forced convection exchanges (liquid or gas)
Numerous intensification techniques can be applied to flows consisting of a single liquid or gas phase. This section describes the main techniques and the associated exchange and friction loss laws. We also explain the conditions under which these laws are valid, which are generally expressed in terms of dimensionless numbers characteristic of operating or geometric parameters.
