7. Conclusion
In order to intensify heat exchange, various methods have been tried and tested, and their effectiveness has been demonstrated. Techniques for modifying the structure of the exchange wall are the most numerous and common: use of fins (surface extension), modification of the wall geometry (promotion of turbulence, mixing). Innovations in microtechnology are opening up even more interesting prospects for controlling the surface state and properties of exchange walls (coatings, nanostructuring). Last but not least, many active techniques are still at the research stage, but offer numerous possibilities for highly targeted applications.
