Today, the majority of photovoltaic power plants have a full sale valuation mode, with photovoltaic electricity becoming less expensive than grid electricity. Grid parity, a state in which the cost of the kWh produced by self-generation is equal to the cost of the kWh purchased from the grid, has been reached in many countries, including France since 2017, according to ADEME.
