2.1.1 Main technical aspects

It should be noted that only saturated steam is used for domestic applications, while superheated steam is not as good a heating medium and is only used for power generation and, possibly, for certain industrial applications.

To avoid steam condensation in the pipes, especially at partial loads, steam must be superheated to a certain level (20 to 30°C is sufficient).
