Centralized heat supply

A heat supply solution comprising a source that feeds several consumers via a thermal network.

Load curve

Curve showing the variation in heat load over a day/month/year; used to select heat sizing and delivery regimes for centralized systems.

Consumption density

Quantity of heat transported per unit length of the heating network or per unit area supplied with heat; this is one of the main parameters influencing the energy and economic efficiency of centralized heat supply systems.

Setting chart

Graphical representation of the dependency of various operating characteristics of a centralized heat supply system.
