4. Organization of a maintenance operation
Whether the unit is running or shut down, the steps involved in a maintenance operation are more or less the same as in any other industry. Once again, it's the way in which they are implemented that can be specific.
4.1 Prepare
This involves defining the nature of the intervention, the methods, tools and documents to be used, the supplies and spare parts to be procured, the personnel requirements of the various trades, the risks requiring special provisions, the measures to be taken to guarantee the quality of the intervention (milestones, stopping points, inspection), the applicable regulatory requirements, etc.
