3. Maintenance players in France
Between 30,000 and 40,000 people contribute directly to the maintenance of the 58 French units. This paragraph explains the functions performed by each of them, regardless of their position in the structures, which are subject to considerable change.
3.1 Operator (EDF)
Around 1,000 people are permanently employed at a 2-unit site, and 1,800 at a 4-unit site.
