2. Plywood

Plywood is made by laminating several cross-laminated plies of veneer.

There are several grades of plywood, depending on the binders used, which give them greater or lesser resistance to water, depending on whether they are used indoors or outdoors.

2.1 Plywood panels for interior use

There are two types of panel for indoor use.

  • Type 1 panels

    They are resistant to immersion in cold water at 20°C for 24 hours. These panels are of standard quality and intended for interior use without the risk of humidification. They are laminated with ordinary, inexpensive urea-formaldehyde resins (€0.30/kg), which can be filled with wheat flour or walnut shells, for example....
