4. Quality of a cut part
The quality of a cut piece can be understood in different ways:
first and foremost, the customer's requirements regarding the characteristics of the manufactured part. These requirements are closely linked to the cutting operations. The most important are the dimensional tolerances of the punching and cutting operations performed on the part. There is also the question of burrs, which must be minimal or even eliminated, or of a particular geometry of the cut edge, such as a minimum percentage of calibrated part;
It then concerns the cutter, who seeks to assess the state of the part in order to adjust the tool settings (centering of the punch, etc.) or make more in-depth modifications (changing the cutting clearance, etc.), or the design office, which seeks to improve the tool's service life in order to ensure...
