6. Positioning and machining fixtures

As we saw in paragraph 3 , the dimensions of the machining elements and their geometric tolerances are defined in relation to reference surfaces which must be materialized in the assembly of the part to be machined on the machine tool. As far as possible, the principle of isostatism is used to position the part univocally in an absolute reference frame linked to the machine tool or, possibly, to the machining fixture....
