3. Spindle shaft manufacturing study

The workshop is equipped with a numerically-controlled lathe with rotating tools, a fixed steady rest and a numerically-controlled tailstock. The turret is equipped with 12 tool stations, 6 of which rotate. The machine has a longitudinal stroke of 1,000 mm and a transverse stroke of 400 mm. Bar diameter in the spindle is 60 mm.

For machining the spindle shaft (document 2, figure 16 p. 15), we also have a CNC cylindrical grinding machine, both internal and external, equipped with an automatic steady rest.
