10. Safety and environment
Operator safety and environmental protection are key considerations in all brazing operations.
The risks of skin and lung lesions due to handling hot parts or acids, and the use of CMR products included in fluxes and filler alloys, require special attention on the part of the brazing operator. Wearing personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, mask) is recommended, and the workstation must be equipped with a fume extractor.
Fluids used for stripping and cleaning flux residues are treated by specialized companies, as they are harmful to the environment.
