INTRODUCTION
The assembly of composite parts (composite-on-composite, composite-on-metal, etc.) frequently calls for adhesive bonding, because of the advantages it offers over other existing techniques, as described in the article .
However, the application of this joining technique calls for special skills (design of the parts to be joined, preparation of the surfaces to be joined, testing of the joints to determine their mechanical, physical or chemical characteristics, etc.) and knowledge of the different types of adhesive and their characteristics, in order to select the adhesive best suited to a specific joining problem.
