6. FE simulation of mechanical and dynamic behavior

Parametric modeling is now a feasible method for studying the mechanical and dynamic behavior of assemblies. The aim is to simulate the main modes of joint failure (disbonding, shearing, peeling, crack propagation) in order to derive macroscopic criteria at the scale of the structural model, and to take account of a certain variety (nature of joint materials, type of fastener, etc.).
